Glider Post

2. Design Phase Notes:
2a. The challenge was to create a glider with a limited amount of balsa wood, tape, glue, and tissue paper.
2b. we thought of building a plane with huge wings, but that would have made it too heavy. we also thought of using triangles for the frame because they are a strong shape, but we decided on a small and light glider.
2c. there are no rules to brainstorming other than following constraints

3a. our test results were very good, but our glider got tampered with and basically destroyed, so with some last minute handy work we fixed it up and made it air worthy.
3b. the only thing i would have changed was to add larger wings

4a. as stated before, i would have made it larger if i had the chance

  1. You guys did a good job geting your glider air-worthy again at the last minute. We have some shelving now to dedicate to each class. How do you recommend we store materials to help prevent tampering?

Please use the 4 Quadrant Feedback format we discussed in class to evaluate your gliders performance. Iterative analysis and improvement of your design is more important than its initial performance.

Also, do you have any other photos of your design?

Did you model your design in CAD?
